Artist statement

"Night Vision" is an installation piece that uses everyday materials such as carrot peelings to create lighting design.

When making this work I was inspired by organic forms and their arrangement into monochromatic patterns. I became interested in questioning ideas around aesthetic judgment in our everyday environment - things that we may overlook in our urban environment and their possible recreation.

Rather then useing traditional mediums for lighting design "Night vision" uses carrot to draw from the tale that eating carrots improves on your eyesight at night.
