Ships in the Night – by visual artist Jo Darbyshire
I helped with the technical production of this project for the High Tide Fremantle Biennale, a contemporary art show that is apart of the Fremantle Festival
Over the course of a year Fremantle, Western Australia artist Jo Darbyshire recorded the names of ships in Fremantle harbour. These names are projected in a choreographed poem onto the façade of the Port Authority building. This monumental artwork responds to the iconic early ’60s architecture of the Port Authority building in this elegant work, silently matching the movement of the ships as they enter and leave the harbour.
