These large format ground projections displayed at the Strawberry Fields Festival held in Tocmwal, NSW. The location had a lush atmosphere being right on the banks of the Murry River, situated on the border between NSW and Victoria. Artists Nick Azidis and Rose Staff created these scenic visual projections to light up the ground and the trees at the event.
The projected images are a series of hand drawn illustrations. These come from a body of work exploring the potential of remediation to transform hand drawn illustrations into a new media installation. The simple expression of mark-making becomes enhanced by new media technology to make it flexible to suit a variety of contexts, exploring the interplay between analogue and digital, the hand made and the computer generated.
