Artist statement Living on the north coast of NSW inspired me to create these works.
I was interested in finding a way to transcribe the experiences I felt whilst walking through the natural environment and documenting the observations I made. I began to see that time, place, space, journey and narrative informed the way I saw the landscape.
In the Landscape series I focused on mark making as a process to map these fragmented experiences in the capturing of the moment.
